Baccarat Celebrates its 260th Anniversary with “Discovering Enchantment”, a Pop-Up and Immersive Experience at South Coast Plaza

The Activation will Debut its Latest Collection with Dutch Designer Marcel Wanders

Baccarat celebrates 260 years of joie de vivre with its first-ever US pop-up, where visitors can discover the Maison’s rich history, iconic collections, and the debut of the New Antique collection by Marcel Wanders, as well as embark on an unforgettable immersive experience.

Upon entering Discovering Enchantment, guests will delve into the Baccarat’s storied legacy in the Baccarat Heritage Room, showcasing iconic collections such as Harcourt, Zenith, Louxor, and Mille Nuits. These timeless works of art transcend generations while reflecting the Maison’s daring spirit and creativity. Acclaimed around the world, these pieces have become the ultimate reference for dazzling celebrations and shared moments of joy. 

Moving through the experience, guests will bear witness to the Marcel Wanders exhibition, on display for the first time in the U.S. The Baccarat New Antique by Marcel Wanders collection – inspired by Baccarat’s Worlds Fair masterpieces from centuries past – illustrates a collaboration that weaves excellence and passion to fulfill dreams and inspire wonder. Fusing the beauty of marble and crystal, the collection embodies timeless elegance with a touch of avant-gardism, exemplifying Wanders’ vision to “live with passion, fulfill the wildest dreams, transform everyday life into a world imbued with beauty and wonder.” The New Antique collection is an invitation on a journey into the heart of refined craftsmanship and innovative design. The nine-piece collection will be exclusively available to purchase at South Coast Plaza ahead of its global launch.

Visitors will then be invited to take part in “Alchemy, the immersive experience”, a poetic and kaleidoscopic visual journey through Baccarat’s Manufacture, or factory, revealing a marvelous tale of the alchemy that unites the four elements – earth, air, fire, and water – and human virtuosity. Entirely captured in the Baccarat ateliers in France, the film uses video mapping to stimulate the senses and play with spatial perception to welcome guests into the Universe of Baccarat.
