California Dreamin’ – Moynat Paris opens its first store on the West Coast

Since its inception by Pauline Moynat in 1849, Moynat has been a landmark of discrete and uncompromising Parisian luxury. Following the renaissance of the House in 2011 under the artistic direction of Ramesh Nair, Moynat flagship stores (Maisons de Vente) in Paris, New York and London, as well as 23 galleries in 14 cities around the world have become the haunt of connoisseurs looking for splendid and unusual pieces.

The only Moynat Gallery in California features lacquered panels in the House’ s warm amber and leather accents that underscore the core Moynat philosophy of authenticity and understated elegance.

The House’s signature personalization services, from hand-painting initials to custom orders for bespoke trunks and handbags will be offered in the Moynat Gallery in South Coast Plaza.

For the house’s installation in its first destination on the West  Coast of the United States, the boutique will showcase Moynat craftsmanship at its most exquisite: the new Josephine bag, an elegant yet easy day bag that carries a strong signature of the House in its graphic play on colours and its geometric curves.

Another new bag, a jewel of craftsmanship and design is the Marie-Louise, entirely hand stitched and bearing a clasp inspired by American Art Deco architecture, notably the Hoover Dam.

Other special editions include the best-selling Mini Vanity “Perspective” which carries stunning marquetry patterns, as well as the Mini Vanity Pyramid, one of the most complex and unusual bags of the House.

Along with this, we will launch new variations of the best selling Réjane: in a Tricolore version and the Mini Réjane Echo.
