SOUTH COAST PLAZA PRESENTS AUTUMN HARVEST FESTIVAL

WHAT: South Coast Plaza is pleased to present the Autumn Harvest Festival, September 15 to October 1, including festive décor, a gourmet mooncake pop-up kiosk, and a “Discover Beautiful China” photo exhibition.

ABOUT: Autumn Harvest is a multi-cultural celebration acknowledging the Mid-Autumn Festival (Chinese), Cheosuk (Korean) and Tet Trung Thu (Vietnamese) celebrations. Traditionally observed on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar which lands on September 29, this significant holiday is a time for gathering (full moon signifies family reunion), thanksgiving (giving thanks for good harvest) and praying (for good fortune).

HIGHLIGHTS AND ACTIVITIES:

  • Stroll the beautiful Garden Terrace, transformed into a moon gazing terrace with colorful lanterns and lively décor.
  • On weekends during the festival, guests may visit the Gourmet Mooncake and Desserts by Yu Cake Pop-up on level two in the Nordstrom wing. Crafted exclusively for South Coast Plaza by Yu Cake, each gift set comprises eight mini mooncakes in four distinct flavors, priced at $88. The design of the exquisite gift box is an ode to ancient Chinese ceramic vases, with double doors that unveil four drawers. Gourmet Mooncake and Desserts by Yu Cake will be available September 15-17 (Friday – Sunday) and September 22-24 (Friday – Sunday).
